Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 7:22PM Today is the two year anniversary of starting A Dash of Stash. To celebrate, I thought it would be appropriate to share tips to blogging. Even though the world would be a better place with less bloggers, you shouldn't be discouraged from letting your voice be heard, and opinion known. Blogging is a wonderful forum for self expression and personal growth--and nobody can stop you if you're terrible.
It's okay to lack talent as long as you're eternally enthusiastic. When I started, I knew how to cook five things decently, and was delusional about my quality of writing. This didn't stop me from doing something I had never done before--setting up a website, buying a domain, getting a creative commons license, and figuring out that damned URL forwarding. Don't worry about lacking content or not being an expert. Ideas beget ideas and will perpetuate the blog. The key is to remain enthusiastic and work towards your 10,000 hours.
